The Names of God, "El Elyon." It means, "The Most High God."
"Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire" Daniel 3:26.
This flaming furnace, I am sure was not a small oven. I am sure is was huge, more like a huge industrial type furnace. The temperatures were hot enough to assure that no one could survive its heat. This flames could be seen jumping from its top opening with a fiery blast that killed the soldiers who went up to its door.
What an AWESOME GOD we serve. His name emphasizes Strength, Sovereignty, and Supremacy. Our God should be extremely exalted. He can deliver you out of any situation. There is nothing too hard for our God.
