GIVE ME!

Updated: May 3, 2020

The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States by France. The statue is a figure of Liberty, a robed Roman liberty goddess.

There is a bronze plaque inside of it with the text of a poem. The abbreviated version reads as follows:

“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempestuous to me,…”

These United States consist of people from all walks of life, nationalities, race, and ethnic groups. It doesn’t matter who you are, or where you are from, God is the God of us all. Ephesians 4:6 says, “One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

God truly loves us, and the proof, He gave us the greatest gift ever. He didn’t spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all. There is no greater love!

We know that we belong to God, and as children of God, we know that God is our Defender, our Protector, and He loves us.

He is our defender, and no one can bring a charge against us. No one can take us to court before God and win a case against us, because he, himself is the one who has declared us righteous.

God is our Protector, and no one can condemn us on judgement day, because Jesus himself died for us, was raised from the dead for us, and is now sits at the right hand of God, interceding for us. We are eternally secure in Christ.

Christ loves us, and no enemy or weapon or calamity can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Regardless of our circumstances, our situation, or whatever predicament we may find ourselves in, give it to God.

He is crying out to us! Can you hear Him? He is saying, GIVE ME, your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. GIVE ME, the homeless, the destitute, the wounded, the afflicted, the unemployed. Give me, the sick, the incarcerated, and the heavy load bearers. Give them all to me!

His arms are opened wide and reach infinitely! Who can love us more than our creator?
