GOD’S WORD

There is something magical and wonderful found in the falling of snowflakes and raindrops. My grandson loves to feel the raindrops falling on his face. When it happens, he giggles with pure delight. Watching him in the moment, brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart.

You know what else brings a smile to my face and put joy in my heart? Reading God’s Word, the Bible! There are different versions of the Bible, but they all are still the Word of God. There are different translations, all with the same message from the manuscripts.

I read the Bible daily, and I have four translations that I will reference, depending on the Scripture. I read the TLB (The Living Bible), NIV (New International Version), the KJV (King James Version), and NLT (New Living Translation) They tell the same message, but in a way that is easy for me to understand.

The message of the Bible is the same in whatever translation I use. The only difference is, there are different means of communicating that message. This is why that there are different translations to cater to everyone. Bible. com says that there are over 2,110 Bible versions in 1,442 languages.

Regardless of how many versions of the Bible there are, if you don’t stop to really read God’s Word, you will miss the powerful, fulfilling, and rich blessings behind them. The Bible maybe displayed in various forms and places throughout our homes and churches, but if you don’t consume His Word, you are missing out of some blessed benefits.

We receive our revelation through the Bible. This is where we need to go, to discover who God is and why we were created. We need the Word of God to help us know what is good and true because it doesn’t come to us naturally, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord” (Isaiah 55:8).

You need to read the Bible to experience change and growth. You simply can’t experience spiritual growth on your own. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The Bible is inspired by God Himself. It is His Word, containing His Wisdom, His Goodness, His Intentions, His Judgements, His Heart, His Promises, His Guidelines, His Instructions, His Truth, His Power, His Comfort, His Encouragement, and His Authority.

The Bible is not simply words about God, it is the Word of God. The Word of God is the VOICE of God in printed form.
