GROWING PAINS

Updated: Feb 17, 2021

Growing pains! If a person or organization suffers from growing pains, they experience temporary difficulties and problems at the beginning of a particular stage or development.

There will be growing pains in relationships. There will be growing pains in life. There will be growing pains as a Christians. Believe it or not, growing pains is a very good sign. Growing pains are not pleasurable, but they are purposefully painful.

Like a butterfly trying to break from its cocoon, or a toddler’s wisdom teeth breaking the skin of the gums, pain and struggle are involved.

Growing pains as a Christian are brought to you via a test. During the testing period, discipline and dedication is needed. During this test, the wannabes will be weeded out, during this period of growing pains, as they eliminate themselves from the process.

But those who endure through the growing pains, those who struggle through the questions and doubts during the test, will receive a reward.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” Romans 8:18.

There will be many growing pains along our path of life. Each stage will be considered our new normal. It is doing this adversity you will create the building blocks of faith. This adversity will cause you to reflect, evaluate and reevaluate, what is important and what isn’t important and necessary.

When faced with adversity, we have the opportunity to better our lives. Adversity is the stepping stones to a place of where you are meant to be. Thus the cliche’, “What does not kill us only make us stronger,” gained its popularity from many success stories from those who hit rock bottom and bounced back up.

As you look back over your life, you will often realize that many times you thought you were being rejected from something good, you were in fact being redirected to something better, much better.

It is in the midst of our deepest pain that will give us the power to grow and reach our potential. Without pain, there can be no change. Pain, as like everything else in life, is meant to be a learning experience.

The Lord is always with us through every test. Do you know what this means? It means that Jesus’ power is with you and so is His grace. You don’t have to walk alone, while in the valley of the test, He will comfort you. When you are walking through this test, God will be with you, guiding and instructing you. Jesus will comfort you and reassure you, that everything will be alright. You just need to keep your eyes on Jesus.

We will experience pain in life, whether emotional or physical pain. No pain is alike. We must all walk the journey and path that God has for our lives. Yet God promises that there is a purpose in all pain. We can press on each day knowing that our God loves us and wants to use the hurt and pain to bring Him glory.

So keep walking, because you are never alone. Jesus is always there during the growth process and He is helping you to endure the pain.
