HALLELUJAH!

Hallelujah is an expression of praise or thanks or rejoicing to God. Chant, oratorio, psalm. canticle, carol, evensong, hosanna, laud, ode, shout, alleluia, litany, song of praise, and worship song are synonyms of Hallelujah.

In the Bible, the greatest majority of uses of the word Hallelujah occur in the Psalms. Hallelujah sometimes appears at the beginning of a psalm, sometimes at the end, and sometimes at both, the beginning and the end.

Psalms are poems. King David uses Hallelujah to produce the most powerful effect upon us when a psalm/poem is sung or read. Thus, this most powerful effect, is the glorification of the Lord.

The Lord our God, must be glorified, for this is our calling, as humans, as sinners, and especially as Christians. The intent of the word Hallelujah is to glorify God.

Hallelujah is a joyous expression to praise the Lord. I can’t say this word enough, Hallelujah. We must praise God. Praise means to say or write good things about someone, to express approval of, to express thanks, love, or respect to God. The phrase “Praise the Lord” is found 42 times in 39 verses in the Old Testament. Praise is every believers high and holy privilege, and we should be persistent.

Whenever we sing or speak the word “HALLELUJAH," we are praising the Lord Most High, Yahweh with adoration and to casually use “Hallelujah” is tantamount to taking His name in vain.

God the Creator of all things including us humans deserves to be praised. Children of God must praise God at all times and in every situation. The scripture says, “In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first in Christ should be to the praise of His glory” (Ephesians 1:11-12).

Hallelujah, “hallelu” “jah," praise God the Creator of the universe who revealed His unique name so long ago, the one who IS. He was and IS and IS to come. He is worthy to be praised.

God is good to us and we should always praise Him to show Him our gratitude. When we praise Him, we give Him thanks for what we received from His goodness. His goodness toward us also comes in the form of mercy. For His mercy endure forever. Man will never cease from being sinful and our merciful Father, will never cease from being merciful.

PRAISE THE LORD! HALLELUJAH!
