The Names of God, "Jehovah M'Kaddesh." It means, "The Lord Who Sanctifies."
"Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you" Leviticus 20:7-8.
God gives a warning to the children of Israel against the worship of Molech. The worsip of Molech was satanic and cruel. Children were offered as sacrifices to the idol of Molech. They were cast into a hole full of fire. Stoning to death was the penalty for their crime of "giving his seed to Molech."
It is through God and only through God who sanctifies us. We have been set apart and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. We must always strive to live a holy life that pleases God. That means that we should live differently because God has made us differently. We are not to conform to the things of the world. We are a holy people.
