The Names of God, "Jehovah Malakh." It means, "The Angel of the Lord."
"And the angel of the Lord found her by a foundation of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur" Genesis16:7.
Hagar had ran away from Sarai and her problems, or so she thought. "The Angel of the Lord" gave her this advice, return to Sarai. Sometimes we all feel like running away from our problems, but guess what? Our problems appear to have legs, they will always follow us. Running from our problems doesn't solve anything. With God's help, we can face our problems and trust Him to help us with them.
The Bible is full of mysteries. The Angel of the Lord is one of those mysteries. His true identity is not revealed, but we do know that he was a messenger of God. The angel of the Lord shows up where Hagar has fled from Sarai's cruelty. The angel of the Lord first questions her, then commands her, and tells her, her future. She calls him "the Lord."
Angels are described as messengers sent by God, on the behalf of God. Although we may not see them or even aware of their presence, God's angels are real. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 1:14, "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"
