THE FORECASTER

Updated: Jun 2, 2020

Do you plan your week based on the weather forecast? Most people will plan their daily activities based on the weather forecast. We also plan our wardrobe, based on the temperature for the week and for each day.

The weather forecast on the television will usually come on toward the end of the news broadcast. For convenience, at times I may pull up the weather on my cell phone.

Yesterday, while listening to the news, the weather forecast for the next day, cloudy and rainy. So I told myself that I will not need to water my flowers tomorrow, because mother nature will do it for me. The next day, it wasn’t cloudy or rainy, but beautiful and sunny.

People have the tendency to try and forecast many outcomes as they relate to different scenarios. There are economic forecasting, scientific forecasting, political prediction etc.

Everyone from science fiction writers to billionaire tech gurus have been telling us what tomorrow holds. Plenty of predictions and forecasts have been made and some of them have come true, but they didn’t know when, nor the hour or the day or year, when they would become true.

Jesus is “The Forecaster”. If He says that it is going to happen, it will. God knows the date down to its exactness. He isn’t guessing, because he is “The Truth-o-meter”. He is the Truth, the Way, and the Light. He knew when the televisions would be invented. He knew when iPads and cellphones would be the hottest devices. He knew when President Obama would be the first African American President. He knew when organ transplants would be available. He knew when you and I would be born. Nothing ever escapes Him.

When Jesus was in Jerusalem and sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him and asked him, “What are the signs of the end of the age?”

He said that these would be the signs:

  • Men posing as Jesus will try to deceive people in the last days. He tells us that we will need a solid foundation in Him to discern the Spirit. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:4.

  • There will be wars and rumors of wars, but he tells us not to be alarmed, the end is not yet. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:6.

  • There will be earthquakes and famines in various places. He tells us that all of these is just the beginning. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:7-8.

  • The nations and kingdoms of earth will rise against each other. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:8

  • Many false prophets will appear and lead many astray. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:11

  • Sin will be rampant everywhere and will cost the love of many. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:12.

  • The Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world. So that all nations will hear it, and then, finally, the end will come. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:14.

The one thing that Jesus tells us is, that His Second Coming will be swift and sudden. Jesus tells us that no one knows about His return, but the Father.

Now this is a prediction that has an accurate error calculation of zero percent, and a true accuracy of 100%. The date and the time is calculated by God, down to the millisecond.
