THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

Updated: Mar 18, 2023

The Bible tells us numerous times that "Nothing is impossible with God." We are encouraged to believe that ALL things are possible with Him. The angel told Mary that God intended for her to bear His Son, the angel proclaimed, "Nothing will be impossible with God" (Luke 1:37).

We serve a God that specializes in the impossible. He deals so well with impossibilities. Whatever the impossibility is, God will show up right on time. He is never too late to do what He needs to do. When the impossible is brought to Him, in full faith, the circumstances of the impossible MUST be accomplished by God, if God is to be glorified.

The things that are on your mind, the things in your heart that are beyond your ability to see how they can be fixed, can be fixed by God. Nothing is impossible with God! God sees things differently than we do, and He can bring about things in ways you could never imagine, all for your good and for His glory.

When reflecting over your life, you have faced some unusual circumstances, made some bad choices, and a few mistakes, but it was never too late for God to deal with your situation, triumphantly. When you present your case to God in full surrender and trust Him, no matter what you are going through, remember this, God can "restore...the years that the locust hath eaten" (Joel 2:25). God heals and restores and there is nothing too hard for Him.

No matter what we have to face, our God loves us. Scripture tells us over and over again how much God loves us. Nothing escapes the All-Seeing God. Even when it seems that God is silent, He is working things out for our good and for His glory. Isaiah says, "O Jacob, O Israel, how can you say that the Lord doesn’t see your troubles and isn’t being fair? Don’t you yet understand ? Don’t you know by now that the everlasting God, the Creator of the farthest parts of the earth, never grows faint or weary? No one can fathom the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint" (Isaiah 40:27-31).

Our ways are never hidden from the Lord. God sees and knows every detail of our lives. He knows when we are tired, hungry, hurting, distressed, mistreated, lonely. God is ever vigilant and ever sustaining. It is God that provides us strength in our weakness, because even the strongest of the strong can grow weary. God's children gains strength because He strengthens them. Scripture tells us, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). There is nothing too hard for God!

The Bible is the truth and the truth sets you free. Nothing is impossible with Christ. God tells us not once, but many times and He shows us repeatedly in many stories within the Bible, that nothing is impossible with Christ. But there is something that we must do first, Mark 9:23 says, "And Jesus said to him, 'If You can?' All things are possible to him who believes." Yes, you know that He existed, died on the cross, and was resurrected, so that we may have salvation, but knowing Him as in having a relationship with Him is a whole different thing. It is when you truly know Him that your faith can function in its fullness.

When you know that you have a relationship with Him, it is then that you can believe that all He wants is the best for you, including those dreams and hopes that have been shattered. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). God is the Dream Maker and He makes all things possible. We just have to trust God by faith, and then rest in Him. Remember, regardless of what it looks like, God is working out everything for your good and for His glory. We serve a God that specializes in the IMPOSSIBLE!
