We go through so much in this journey called life. We have some ups and so many downs. The difficulties of life weighs so heavily upon us. It seems as though the bad outweighs the good. What do you do when you are in a season of pain, loss, tragedy or sorrow? What do you do when you are feeling anxious and burdened? What do you do when you just don't know what to do?
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
When you become overwhelmed and burdened, sometimes you are tempted to trust in yourself rather than trusting in the Lord. You start to believe that if you can devise a plan to make the right moves, then you will get through life on your own.
Unfortunately, you will never be able to navigate your life without God. You don't have the wisdom nor the strength. You may can make it in this life, but you will never do it successfully. The Bible says that we are to trust God with ALL of our hearts and to not lean on, not one iota, our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
When fear, anxiousness, and doubt begins to set-in, God tells us not to lean on our own understanding, in the situation. But simply, just trust Him entirely. God is doing some amazing things in sorting out the situation that we find ourselves in. We just need to trust Him to work it out for us. Just believe it, even though we can't see it.
Some things may not make sense to you, but God knows exactly what He is doing. God knows that life is difficult. He sees our tears and He feels our pain. There are times when life just sucks and the Bible acknowledges that there are times when life will just plain out stink. Scriptures tells us exactly what to do when we are facing those hard, troubling, and difficult times. We are to run to the "throne of grace." "Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
There we will find Jesus! He is ready to give us exactly what we need and He will always meet us at our point of need.
