WHATSOEVER HE SAITH

When my mother told me to do something, I did it. Rather I wanted to do it, or not, I still did it. I did it out of obedience, because I loved and trusted her.

Obedience, is an act of instance of obeying. It is the willingness to obey. The words obedience, obey, and obeying, is mentioned in the Bible, over 8,000 times.

In John 2:1-10, Jesus' first miracle was performed at a wedding, in turning water into wine, and it's something to think about. Out of all the miracles Jesus performed, why was this miracle first? The Bible says in verse 11, "This the beginning of miracles did Jesus in, Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed him."

Jesus is our God and by responding to, "whatsoever He saith," is done out of obedience. In the Kingdom of God, partial obedience is still disobedience. We don't get to pick and choose the commands of God to obey. We think that we can obey the easy ones and disobey the difficult ones we think are unreasonable. Obedience to Jesus is a requirement in accepting Him as our Lord and Savior.

Obedience is doing what God says, and how He said it, to be done. When Mary told the servants at the wedding, "whatsoever he saith unto you, do it," then Jesus instructed the servants to fill the six waterpots of stone with water, and they were filled to the brim. This was an act of obedience. Our obedience is always rewarded. Only Jesus can take your nothing and bring forth something.

Jesus is not a Respecter of person, yet He extends His love, grace, and mercy to us all. He let the rain, the sunshine, and all He has, to come forth, on the just, as well as the unjust. This God that we serve, is bigger and far greater than we can ever imagine. We fall short when trying to find the proper adjective to describe Him. Just trusting and being obedient, takes us to a place of security, joy, and happiness. That's why we truly need to understand, out of obedience, "whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."

"Whatsoever He saith" unto you, it is personally just for you. Then, you are to act in urgency. Don't miss your blessing by trying to figure things out, all because you don't understand it. What are you thinking? I know you are not thinking that God doesn't know what He is doing. "Obedience is better than sacrifice!" You don't know what's going to happen the next hour, so it's impossible for you to know what your future holds. "Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations" (Deuteronomy 7:9).

"Whatsoever He saith" unto you, you must be willingly to accept it. It's about the "trust factor." Trusting and believing God at His word, because God cannot lie nor deceive. "God is not man, that he should lie, or a son, that he should change his mind, Has he said, and will he do it? or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill?" (Numbers 23:19). Accept what He has instructed you to do. There is no if's, nor and's, nor maybe's about it. Take it to the heart and wait on the blessing.

"Whatsoever He saith" unto you. Not only are you suppose to personally and willingly accept what He saith to do, but every one of His words must be received, joyfully. This includes, "reproof, correction, and instructions, in righteousness."

"Whatsoever He saith" unto you, must be accepted faithfully, believing He knows what's best for you and it is for your best interest. Believe it by faith. Receive it by faith. Act on it by faith.

"Whatsoever He saith" unto you will empower you to act and speak boldly. We receive of Him boldly, that we may leave from His presence, boldly. When you act with boldness, through the Holy Spirit, God is lifted up to others.

"Whatsoever He saith" unto you, just do it. God holds you responsible for your actions. Obedience gives us favor with God. So I encourage you with these words from Jesus' mother, Mary, "whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."

Obedience is easy when you focus on the Will of God. Desire often distracts our ability to be obedient. Thanks be unto God for His Grace & His Mercy toward us! That He in His infinite power would justify us through Our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ! Amen!!’🙏🏾
