WIT'S END BOULEVARD

Wit's End means, to be very upset or at the limits of one's emotional or mental limitations. Also means to be completely puzzled and perplexed, not knowing what to do.

This phrase originated in the King James Version of the Bible in Palms 107:27, "They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end."

Are you standing at the corner of Wit's End Boulevard? While standing on this corner, you will find yourself greeted by the usual suspects: freaked-out, shook up, hot and bothered, worked up, flipped out, beside yourself, out of control, insanity, hysteria, frightened, panic struck, disorder, worried, panic attack, confused, rattled, in a tizzy, nervous wreck, perturbed, and the likes.

Are you standing on the corner of Wit's End Boulevard, confronted by waves of trouble? It's like the whole world is against you. But in life, troubles just don't show up all alone or one at a time. No! Trouble is like a wave in the ocean. Like being in a storm and the waves comes at you, fast and furious or hot and heavy.

Are you standing on the corner of Wit's End Boulevard, blinded by weary pain? You feel like you are in the worst storm of your life. Your storm maybe a financial struggle, loss of a love one through grief, family problems, personal tragedy, slander or betrayal. You go to bed at night, full of restlessness and anxiety, and with a dark cloud hanging over your head. Then the next morning, you wake up wretched in pain, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually. You find yourself asking God over and over again, "God how much more do I have to endure? When will this storm pass over? Lord, why so much pain?"

Are you standing on the corner of Wit's End Boulevard, with Ms. Dizzy and Mr. Dazed, feeling very numb from your pain? You are just waiting for Jesus to come. Here at the corner of Wit's End Boulevard, this is where God would love to come. If you are a child of God, you must allow Him to mold you into the image of His Son. Your battle will not stop until you give up trying to figure it out and give yourself completely to God. Until He has completed His purpose in you, your troubles will continue to visit you.

Are you standing on the corner of Wit's End Boulevard? Then you are in the very spot to learn to trust God completely. God brought you to Wit's End Boulevard, to test you, to see if you will really trust Him. "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit" (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

Are you still standing on the corner of Wit's End Boulevard? Just trust God and trust His process. God is with you. He will see you through. God has a plan to bring you out of your storm. You need to understand, God knew about his storm before you were born. God is never caught by surprise. He just doesn't ad lib His divine directions for you to walk in your purpose. He doesn't just flip a coin to determine His actions toward you. He doesn't do a "eeny, meeny, miny, moe" to guess a solution for your problem. God's plans have already been set in action. God knows exactly what He is doing and what directions He should take.

Matter of fact, He devised His solution to your trouble, long before your trouble ever got started. Yet, He will hold it back, to the very last moment, while He waits on you to trust Him. He wants to see if you will trust Him by truly putting your life in His hands.

Are you still standing on the corner of Wit's End Boulevard? Whatever storm that is raging in your life, if you put your total and complete trust in Jesus, even when the wind blows and the storm ceased from raging, all will be well. God tells us over and over again, that He will never leave us nor forsake us. We simply must believe! God CANNOT lie!

No matter what storm or storms you are going through, God has put you in this place called, WIT'S END BOULEVARD for your purpose and His glory.
