ELOHIM BASHAMAYIM

The Names of God, "Elohim Bashamayim." It means, "God in Heaven."

"When we heard it, our hearts melted and no courage remained in any man any longer because of you; for the Lord your God, He is God (Elohim) in heaven (Bashamayim) above and on earth beneath" Joshua 2:11.

Here Joshua sent two spies from the Israeli camp at Acacia and Rahab protects them. The people of Jericho were afraid, for they had heard of God's extraordinary power in defeating their enemies. Rahab recognized that the Israelites' God was not an ordinary god.

No, we don't service an ordinary God. Our God has the same power now, that He had back then. He is a miracle worker and all powerful and He can destroy any of our enemies.
