EMAIL! KNEE-MAIL! PRAYER!

What is an email? Email is short for "electronic mail." Email is one of the most widely used features of the internet. It allows you to send and received messages to and from an email address, anywhere in the world.

There are great advantages of email for communications. Email is a free communication tool. Once online, there is no further expense that you will need to spend in order to send and receive messages.

Email is very fast. Once you have finished composing your message, sending it is as simple as clicking a button. Your message is sent, delivered, and ready for the receiver to read it immediately.

Email is very simple. It is easy to use. Once your account is set up, composing, sending, and receiving messages is simple. Email allows for easy referencing too. Messages that have been sent and received are stored and can be searched through easily. It is more easy and accessible to go through old email messages than old paper notes.

Just like emails are a great means for communicating with people, prayer is an excellent communication source in communicating with God. Prayer is how we communicate with God and also how God sometimes communicates with us.

Prayer can be spoken, silently, or in a song. It can be used to praise God or to ask Him for something, including help and forgiveness. Prayer can be used for thankfulness and appreciation to God. Or you can just simply talk to Him, because of who He is.

Prayer isn't a ritual that depends on closing your eyes. You don't have to kneel or sit. You can pray anywhere and at any time, while working or walking. While riding, driving, cycling, or being still. Prayer can be done while lying prostrate, kneeling, bowing, standing, sitting, looking up to heaven, stretching forth of arms, or just leaping with joy. Prayers doesn't have to be complicated, using big complicated words. God just delights in our prayers to Him.

Prayer is very personal. Prayer is very important. There is no set way to pray. Prayer is not a magical formula to get something we want. There is no special time for prayer nor does it require a special place to pray.

The Bible are full of people and their prayers, such as Hannah's prayer. "And Hannah prayed and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord; my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the Lord; for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God..." ( 1 Samuel 2:1-10). There is the Prayer of Jabez, "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!" (1Chronicles 4:10). Then there is the Lord's Prayer, the 23rd Psalm.

We should pray at all times and for all things. Does God hear our prayers? Absolutely, yes! This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask God for anything, He hears us. The heart of this question is not whether God hears and answers prayer, but does God answer our prayers in the way we that we want it answered. He always answers our prayers, whether it is a "yes", a "no", or "wait."

God hears our prayers! He wants us to communicate with Him. He wants you to share the desires of your heart with Him. He wants you to put your trust in Him and trust His answer for you.

Just spend time with Him. Spend time with His Word (the Bible). Spend time talking with Him and practice listening to Him.
