Everything, everyone, everybody, and everywhere are indefinite pronouns. We use them to refer to a total number of people, places and things.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).
Imagine having to worry about anything and everything. To worry about everything seems like the impossible. Or is it? I am one that worries about everything. I am the “worrier," tagged by my mother. I don’t think anything has really changed about me, except, I have learned to give my worries and concerns to God.
“Be anxious for nothing," or maybe not be overly anxious. Worry about nothing; pray about everything. Prayer is the secret weapon of power.
“Worry about nothing.” In Philippians 4:4, we were given one of the new commandments that God give us: Worry about nothing; pray about everything. Nothing is nothing, and we are to worry about nothing. Our bills are real. Our sickness is real. Our problems are real. So how are we to worry about nothing? Are we supposed to ignore these things that are real? No! Paul says, we are to worry about nothing, but PRAY about everything.
Pray about EVERYTHING! Pray about the big things and the little things and the tiniest things. Yes, even those trifling things. EVERYTHING!
That means, we must pray without ceasing. That means, that we should be living in holy communion with our Holy Father, through Jesus, all day long. And even when we wake-up in the middle of the night, we still should be talking to God. Taking EVERYTHING, to God in prayer.
It should be a spiritual instinct, again and again, bringing our various matters to Him. Whatever is bothering us, in any way, just tell our Holy Father. Speak to Him, He is just waiting for you to pour your heart out to Him.
Apostle Paul says that we should turn our worries into prayers. Whenever you start to worry, just stop and pray. Tell God your needs, then thank Him for the answer.
Let your prayer rest on your faith and your faith rests on the Word of God. Take it to God, then thank Him and leave it there with Him.
Thank Him for His answer to your prayer. However and whatever ways He wish to answer your prayer. Talk to Him! Take it to Him! Leave it with Him! And, thank him. AMEN!
