THE NAMES OF GOD, "JEHOVAH EL ELYON". It means, "The Lord, the Most High God."
"And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth" Psalm 14:22.
The term "Most High God" is used throughout the Bible to describe the Lord God as the Creator of heaven and earth. The Most High is translated from the Hebrew words Yahweh Illay, which means "God Most High,"
The Lord God is the only true God. In Exodus 20:2-3 says, "I am the Lord your God, who brought your out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me." God demands absolute loyalty from us. He is the "Most High God," whether we acknowledge Him or not. We must choose to honor, love, and obey Him as the only true and living God.
