God is our REFUGE! He is our shelter when we are afraid, because He is our Protector who can safely carry us through any and all dangers. He shelters us. So if God is for you, who could be against you. This psalm reminds us, "for he rescues you from every trap and protects you..."
No, God doesn't promise us a world free from danger. He has told us too often, that there will be trouble, trials, and tribulations, but He does promise that He will be there to whenever we are faced with danger.
