The Names of God, "Jehovah Elohim Tsaba." It means, "Lord God of Hosts."
"Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah" Psalm 59:5.
The heavenly host refers to the army of angels mentioned in the Bible. The Bible gives us a very descriptive view of the heavenly host participating in the war in Heaven. In Revelation 12:7-9, the archangel Michael and a host of angels will defeat Satan. God is the "Lord God of Hosts." God is referred to as the "Lord of Hosts," throughout the Bible.
The title "Lord God of Hosts," symbolizes YHWH's kingdom. God sits on His throne where He not just rules, but He SUPER rules. Our God is the sovereign "Lord of Hosts." Through our faith in Jesus Christ, God will always be there for us. The King of glory, commands the armies of heaven and that is none other than Jesus Christ.
