TUNED-IN!

I was listening to a new radio station the other day and was truly enjoying the music. The announcer came on the air with a commercial that informed you, if you have an Alexa, just say Alexa tune-in to radio XYZ. Since I have an Alexa, I turned off the radio and said, "Alexa, tune-in to radio station XYZ," and immediately Alexa had hooked me up.

Tuned-in means to listen to free internet radio, sports, music, news and et cetera, via live streaming. Tuned-in have another meaning, you can tuned-in to someone or something. Let me simplify the meaning. It means that you are very aware of someone or something and you understand that person or thing very well.

We stay tuned-in to a lot of things. We are tuned-in to the latest fashion. We are tuned-in to the latest trends. We are tuned in to the latest technology. We are tuned-in to the latest hair styles. But are we tuned-in to God?

When it comes to God, sometimes we don't stay tuned-in to Him and His holy Word. Somehow our radio frequency has been shifted to the left or the right of the channel. The static from the improper frequency affects our minds, behavior, and attitudes. Instead of adjusting the frequency for a better reception, we would rather turn the volume down to hear less noise, which distorts our ability to receive the proper message, as it should to be heard. Since the message is distorted, we can not hear the true meaning of the message, and we start cutting and pasting the message to suit us. Thereby causing us to fill in the blanks, based on what we want to hear and not what God is truly telling us. Somehow, we tend to twist God's message to benefit ourselves and then we like to think that we are sold-out to Jesus.

God is a communicator that specializes in communications. In fact, God is always in communications with us. But are you tuned-in to Him and His frequency?

God is communicating with us 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He is always in communications with us, but our ears have to be in tuned to His frequency to receive His signal. Look at it this way. If God was a like a radio station what would you call His station? It would be, WGOD FM radio and WJESUS AM radio streaming live on all channels and at all times.

If you want to truly be sold-out to Jesus, practice being tuned-in to God. Simply adjust the signal to God's proper channel, then just tuned-in the correct frequency (scripture), by honing in on the correct channel (prayer and meditation). This will always help you stay on the right station. When you do these regularly, you will increase your awareness with God's Spirit. The Holy Spirit will always guide your path. By staying "tuned-in" with Jesus, you will discover that your spirit has been "turned-up" and "tuned-up."
